•    Senior citizens and young adults can be given these cell phones to use in cases of emergency or when the need to contact them in the blink of an eye happens.  These are great for giving your child to know where they are at all times without having to worry about costly cell phone bills.
 
•    If you do not use your cell phone all that much, you can definitely save with the prepaid options.  You won’t have costly monthly bills for minutes that you do not use. They are ideal choices for someone that just wants a cell phone in case of emergencies.
 
•    If you do not want to sign a two year contract with a cell phone provider, then this prepaid is the right choice for you as well.  There are no contracts with prepaid phones.

Who It’s Not For

On the other hand, there are some people that this prepaid option may not be good for.

•    If you are one that uses your cell phone heavily, you are likely to be able to find a better deal with your monthly plans rather than with the minutes of a prepaid cell phone.
 
•    If you want to have the latest and greatest features on your cell phone these may not be the best options for you either.  Although there are great features, they do not usually have the latest technology.
 
•    If you want the lowest per minute rate, then prepaid may not offer it.  You will want to look at other plans instead.
